PPG Industries Inc. announced the recent addition of enhanced color-selection resources for the company’s SidingSafe Color Technology, described as a color-matching solution for use on vinyl siding, architectural plastic and composite building materials.
The company says the specialized formulation technology does not cause siding to warp or buckle when used to paint a color that is darker than the original siding color. The product is available in 84 SidingSafe colors, and six trim and accent colors, in addition to nearly all of the 1,890 colors from PPG’s Voice of Color® palette. Custom color matching is also available.
The technology is offered in the PPG Pittsburgh Paints Manor Hall Timeless, Manor Hall and Sun Proof products, and PPG Porter Paints Permanizer, Acri-Shield Paint and Acri-Pro residential repaint products.
A SidingSafe formula also is offered in the PPG Seal Grip 17-921 Universal Primer/Sealer; use of a primer is recommended with the Sun Proof or Acri-Pro products.
