Rust-Oleum (Vernon Hills, Ill.) introduced Rust-Oleum® LeakSeal™ Flexible Rubber Coating, a rubberized utility spray coating reported to stop and seal leaks “instantly.”
The product is reported to effectively fill and seal leaks and cracks, providing a flexible watertight seal that prevents moisture penetration, rust and corrosion.
The high-build formula is formulated to fill cracks, gaps and holes while maintaining a high degree of flexibility even during exposure to temperature variations and UV radiation, the company says. The high solids content is reported to build a durable barrier to seal leaks and cracks on metal, vinyl, plastic, PVC, concrete, and other surfaces.
Suggested applications include sunroofs, ductwork, gutters and downspouts, pipes, metal buildings and sheds, flashing, shingles, small foundation cracks, skylights, roofs, and vents.
The sealer dries to a semi-smooth, firm black finish that resists sags or drips, and can be topcoated with any latex- or alkyd-based paint, the company says.
