Hughes was a former business director at BASF Corp. and a business line vice president for Ciba Specialty Chemicals.
With Dur-A-Flex, Hughes will direct the company’s research and development division, with a focus on new innovative applications and product rollouts. He will also oversee the company’s marketing efforts, which include the trade-show channel, lead-generation program and product management, the company said.
At BASF, Hughes’ responsibilities included overseeing marketing, sales, business development, and technical service. He held various positions during his 12 years with Ciba.
