Masterchem Launches KILZ Facebook page with ‘30 Days of Giveaways’ Sweepstakes

Masterchem Industries Inc., the maker of the KILZ® line of primers and paints, recently announced the launch of a new Facebook page at Facebook.com/KILZBrand, and kicked off a “30 Days of Giveaways” sweepstakes.

The company said the page is designed to provide professional painters and contractors with problem-solving solutions while delivering tips on how to get professional results to Do-It-Yourselfers.

Beginning Nov. 18, Facebook users who “Like” the Facebook page will have a chance to win a daily prize of a $100 gift card to a major home-improvement store to help them get their jobs done. Winners will be featured on the KILZ Brand Facebook page and one lucky fan will receive a $2,000 gift card that could be used towards a mini-room makeover.

“The KILZ Facebook page allows us to have a conversation with our loyal fans,” said Mike Walsh, Masterchem vice president of marketing & new product development. “The KILZ Brand aims to provide problem-solving solutions for pros and DIYers,” he said, adding that Facebook offers an outlet for the company and product users to connect.

The page will function as a one-stop source for information on coatings needs, and will offer fans opportunities to win prizes, connect with one another and explore new products and coatings technologies, the company said.

The KILZ Facebook page will host features that include:

• Q&A forum for questions and sharing of advice;

• expert how-to videos for completing a project;

• project spotlights featuring project photos;

• opportunities for fans to win prizes, products and coupons;

• KILZ product gallery featuring new product information and usage suggestions;

• quizzes highlighting KILZ fan problem solver personalities and project solutions;

• polls for fans to share their views on color trends, projects and questions from the KILZ brand.

Pros and DIYers can enter the sweepstakes online at www.Facebook.com/KILZBrand by filling out a brief registration form through Dec. 17. Daily sweepstakes winners will be drawn randomly and announced weekly.

One entry winner will receive the grand prize—a $2,000 gift card to a major home-improvement store; 30 winners will receive a daily prize—a $100 gift card to a major home-improvement store.
