The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, through its construction manager, Tishman Construction Corp., has invited bids for fireproofing at the Vehicle Security Center and Tour Bus Parking Facility (VSC) at the World Trade Center site in New York City.
Bids are due August 18.
According to the owner’s website, the construction of the VSC is well under way. More than 4,000 cubic yards of concrete have been placed, according to the latest construction status.

The facility will play a role in the comprehensive WTC area police and security plan for screening of buses, trucks and cars entering the WTC site and facilities.
The project involves spray application of fire-resistive materials, including epoxy intumescent fireproofing, throughout the parking garage.
Before receiving solicitation documents, prospective bidders must complete the pre-proposal/bid screening process and satisfy the requirements.
