DSM Desotech Inc. (Elgin, Ill.) announced an expansion of its line of UVolve® ultraviolet-cure Instant Floor Coatings, and said the line of concrete coatings now includes high-gloss and matte finishes in addition to clear and pigmented coatings.
The coatings also can be applied under a wider range of application conditions than previously possible, the company says.
The coatings cure immediately by means of UV light, providing fast return to full service and a floor surface that is reported to offer greater durability, less slip and enhanced chemical resistance. The coatings are 100%-solids, single-component systems that can be successfully applied in cold-temperature environments. With low odor and near-zero VOCs, they can contribute to green-building projects, the company says.
The coatings are applied by approved applicators and are suitable for use in a variety of markets, including industrial, manufacturing, food and beverage, retail, restaurants, commercial, institutional, military and aviation, health care, animal care, hospitals, pharmaceutical and biotech, architectural, and decorative, the company says.
