The Wooster Brush Company announced the retirement of Allan K. Rodd as president and treasurer after more than 42 years with the company, the last 12 as president.
William S. Fagert, who joined the company in 1985, has been named president.
Rodd, who will remain vice chairman of the company’s board of directors, said he is confident that Fagert would “continue in the Wooster Brush way, building on our past success. I leave my duties, pressures, fun things, and sense of hopeful anticipation in his capable hands.”
Fagert, who becomes only the ninth president in the 160-year history of Wooster Brush, has held various finance positions with the company, including accounting manager, assistant treasurer, controller, and most recently, vice president of finance. Prior to joining Wooster Brush, he was a certified public accountant with Ernst & Whinney (now Ernst & Young) in Youngstown, Ohio.
Founded in 1851, Wooster Brush is a privately held, employee-owned company and one of the largest paint-applicator manufacturers in the U.S. The company’s manufacturing, shipping, administrative, and warehousing facilities are located in Wooster, Ohio.
